Created by the Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH), the Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH, pronounced “birch”) is a mentored career-development program developed to connect younger faculty, referred to as BIRCWH Scholars, to elderly faculty with common interest in ladies’s wellness and also sex distinctions study. The program supports biomedical research study relevant to the health of women as well as the impact of sex as a variable in health and wellness as well as disease.
